True Freedom

What makes me free? Truly free?

Knowing the Word of God.

Romans 8:1-2 says: So, now anyone who is in Christ Jesus is not judged guilty. That is because of Christ Jesus, the law of the Spirit that made you free; it made you free from the law that brings sin and death.

When I would fall into sin, I used to beat myself up. I would think to myself: “You are not worthy to be a child of God. You are not a Christian.” I would think, I cannot live the way God wants me to live, and give up, only to continue sinning when I should have been repenting!

I did not know the Word.

Today, I understand that a righteous man falls seven times and rises again—but, the wicked stumble in the time of disaster and collapse. (Proverbs 24:16)

Today, I know that there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus, and I can always get back up again.

Because of God’s love for us, He sent His only Son to die—to die on the cross for our sins. We can live freely knowing there is absolutely nothing that can separate us from His love.

Get up. Everyday, get up.

Wake up. Everyday, wake up!

Know who you are!

Live who you are.

Walk in who you are by knowing your Word, which is the Word of God. Only then, will you live a life that is truly free. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Kamisha Bourdeaux is a dance worshiper. God called her to dance at the age of 19. She didn’t really understand who she was, nor her purpose at the time. After experiencing life, though, she was finally able to receive God’s love, and see His faithfulness towards her.

Today, she’s able to say she finally knows both who she is, and what her purpose is. Kamisha teaches children how to worship God through dance ministry. She also encourages people that God loves all, regardless of what has been done in their past. His mercy is new every morning, and every day, she says, “we can start brand new again. Amen.”
